In order to increase the quality of life of the visually impaired, Tamkeen will be providing a range of advisory services on factors that affect them, these services include:

• Website usability audit for disabled-friendliness
• Educational institution support
• Adaptive technology customization and support
• Public & Corporate awareness programs

Website Accessibility Check

Tamkeen can also provide website usability check to assess how disabled-friendly these websites are. This services allows the websites to be viewed by the visually impaired individuals.

 

Adaptive Technology advisory and customization

Support services for education institutions

This will include identifying new adaptive technology needs for the disabled employees and then providing recommendations on the appropriate technologies to be used. This will also include customization of adaptive technologies for employees working with specialized software through a third party or an affiliate of Tamkeen.

 

Public awareness programs

Tamkeen will also be conducting workshops, seminars, and presentations to educate the public about the best ways of dealing with disabled people. Customer-oriented organizations can also get training and awareness workshops about the best way of dealing with their disabled customers. This awareness program can also be given to educational institution, and to colleagues and supervisors currently working with vision-impaired people

 

Corporate Consultancy

Tamkeen can also provide advisory services in terms of setting up the appropriate processes when needed to serve the blinds.
An example of this would be providing advisory services to banks on what might need to be changed or introduced in order to provide a better banking service for the vision-impaired.
Potential clients for this service will be the likes of Emirates Airlines, Banks, Governmental Departments, and e-Government.
