Employment & Career Development

Tamkeen’s support for its candidates continues beyond training with support in the recruitment and job search process by approaching organizations to place the candidates of Tamkeen within these organizations, as well as assisting the individuals with interview preparation.

After finding a job, Tamkeen will extend its support by counseling the visually impaired individuals on their career development potential, by analyzing their capabilities, job demands and performance, and skill requirements; which means that the center will be monitoring their work progress.

Recruitment Services
Tamkeen will be acting as the bridge between the vision-impaired individuals and the potential employers to ensure that vision impaired individuals will find appropriate job opportunities by doing the following:

  • Establishing a good relationship between Tamkeen and potential employers
  • Educating the employers about the nature of jobs that vision-impaired people can do. Getting vacancy
    information from potential employers.
  • Recommending Tamkeen graduates and candidates for suitable jobs
Career Tracking
This service will be provided to the vision-impaired individuals who are currently employed, this will ensure that those individuals are being developed and utilized in an appropriate manner. If needed, new recommendations can be given to further develop and enhance the abilities of those employees.

This service will include:

  • Profiling the vision-impaired employees and identifying their current roles and responsibilities
  • Assessing their performance and abilities
  • Monitoring the progress of the employees
  • Identifying growth opportunities
  • Getting feedback from the employees on their work satisfaction and their need for new skills to identify new
    training requirements if needed.

Providing assessment and recommendation reports to the employers in terms of:

  • Training requirements for the employees
  • Training requirements for employee’s colleagues and supervisors
  • Physical office environment
  • Adaptive Technology needs
  • Software customization and upgrade requirements for employee’s use
